If they're one of those hypothetical smart 22 year old guys, they might actually do their homework. "I know who he was! Even if it's copy-and-paste from Wikipedia, at least they're trying. Of course, if he starts going on about whether Iran–Contra or meddling Russians are worse, then he's either a pretty sharp history geek or lying about his age.
